The first white storks

The first white storks of this spring hatched just a few days ago at the Wetlands at Nordens Ark. The coming days many more will hatch and later this summer they will all be released into the wild in the south of Sweden.

For many years now Nordens Ark have been working with Storkprojektet i Skåne to bring back the white storks to the Swedish fauna where the last breeding pair was seen in 1954.
