News from the construction
From the summer of 2024, you as a visitor can take part in the entire park.
There is still some work to be done in the furthest part of the park and there are exciting plans for the area where the old spruce forest stood. We hope for your understanding while the work is in progress.
Phase 1 and 2 is now finished!
In June 2023, the new Turtle Ark at the Wetland was inaugurated. We are very proud of this facility where we can keep space-demanding species and which is unique in Europe.
In June 2024, we opened up so that visitors can see the wolverine and go up to the Glade grill & café. A new enclosure for European Wildcat is also available for visitors.
See mapThe work to save endangered species is as vital today as it was when Nordens Ark opened in 1989. We’re developing and adapting our business to the needs that exist today for both our animals and our visitors.
In September 2022 we started an exciting project which means the park looks a bit different.
It is important that we do this now, and we thank you for your patience and understanding while the work is under way.
