News from the construction
The 2025 high season is here and most of the construction in the park is complete. Now we are making room for meadow flowers and deciduous trees that benefit biodiversity to grow where the spruce forest used to stand.
There are exciting plans for what this area will look like in the future.
Phase 1 and 2 is now finished!
In 2023, the new Turtle Ark was inaugurated, and this spring the Amphibian Ark on the upper floor also opened.
The Glade has also been open to visitors since 2024, and you can now walk around the entire park. The new playground at The Glade will be ready in early July 2025.
There are only minor works left - thank you for all the understanding you have shown during these years!

The work to save endangered species is as vital today as it was when Nordens Ark opened in 1989. We’re developing and adapting our business to the needs that exist today for both our animals and our visitors.
In September 2022 we started an exciting project which means the park looks a bit different.
It is important that we do this now, and we thank you for your patience and understanding while the work is under way.
