Green toad
Bufotes viridisThe green toad is easily recognizable by its colouring. The belly is light and the back have large, green spots on light grey, grey brown to olive skin.
Length: Male 7,5 cm, female 10 cm
The green toad can tolerate high temperatures and salinity, and can remain buried in dry soils for several months. This is a highly adaptable species, the green toad lives in a variety of habitats, and can tolerate drier conditions than many other amphibians.
