The Swedish red Poll
The Swedish Red Poll is most notable for its lovely colour. The cattle can in fact range from yellow to dark brown, but most are entirely red.

The Red Poll is one of the few remaining Swedish Old Breeds. The animals, which may have black or white markings on the udders, legs and head, are lively and good-natured. The female is highly fertile and a good mother.
Red Polls are a healthy breed with strong legs and hooves. They are resistant to cold and can stay outdoors most of the year. They have been used as both dairy and beef cattle. One animal yields 5,000 litres of milk a year – about half what a modern dairy cow produces.
